The Research Center for International Economics of the City University of Hong Kong (RCIE of CityU) was formed initially as a joint Research Center with the Research Center for International Economics of the University of Washington, USA. The Center is now independently operated.
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee of the RCIE of CityU formulates, implements and oversees the Center's activities. It comprises:

Activities
The primary activities of the Center include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Organizing a high-impact annual conference on International Economics every summer.
- A Working Paper Series which circulates papers written by local and visiting faculty members. The papers are widely distributed to other academic institutions.
- Appointing promising and well-established scholars, from CityU and elsewhere, as Research Fellows, Senior Research Fellows and Advisors, affiliated with the Center.
- Co-sponsoring seminars, conferences and workshops with the related department, and other academic and professional organizations throughout the academic year.
Mission
The Center's overall mission is to promote research excellence and scholarly activity in the broad arena of International Economics, with special emphasis on HK, China, and other Asia-Pacific economies. The Center will foster the creation and dissemination of new knowledge in International Economics at a global level.
The Center aims to become a leading research center in the Asia-Pacific region with a global reputation for research excellence. It will promote collaborative research work in International Economics between the College of Business at the City University of Hong Kong and other academic, professional and policy-oriented institutions.
