Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Am I still eligible to apply for admission to this programme if I do not have any working experience or education background relevant to marketing?
A: You can apply for this programme. Possessing relevant working experience or education background is a plus. However, final selection is determined by a selection panel, which bases its decision on various factors, such as the applicant's all-round education background and potential. An applicant who doesn't possess any working experience (i.e. a fresh graduate) is also welcome to apply.

Q: Is there any on-campus accommodation available for non-local postgraduate students?
A: Yes. The Student Residence Office (SRO) is responsible for handling on-campus and off-campus arrangements for students. A limited quota of places will be reserved for full-time non-local taught postgraduate students of non-UGC-funded programmes. Moreover, there is no guarantee that accommodation in the student residence can be provided for eligible non-local postgraduate students because of limited capacity. These students should be prepared to arrange their own off-campus accommodation if deemed necessary. To learn more about the eligibility and information about on-campus and off-campus accommodation, please http://www.cityu.edu.hk/sro/. Non-local applicants can also submit their housing application during programme online application. The allocation of bedspaces to successful applicants will be centrally administered by SRO on a first-come-first-served basis.
