For students with declared major, you can opt to see the Business Career Services Advisor or Departmental Career Advisor. For students without declared major, Business Career Services Advisors are the 1st-line contact for one-on-one career consultation.
Appointments are in high demand. The following policies and guidelines are developed to maximize the resources effectively.
Our services are open for CB students only.
Preparation for the Consultation
Please upload your CV/resume and cover letter (if any) when booking for an appointment, and bring a hard copy to the career advising session to maximize learning. If you have a job interview, please bring along the job advertisement/requirements.
We encourage your participation, while we do not encourage dependency. Students should take not more than 5 consultation sessions in a semester. If students have special needs, special approval has to be sought.
Each student can only book for one session (30 minutes) within a week.
Cancellation / No Show Policy
To encourage student to be a responsible person and to release the booking to other students in need, students should cancel their booking in advance by sending their cancellation request to:
For cancellation less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment, students will not be eligible for making appointment in the following one month.
Students who do not show up and without prior cancellation will not be eligible for making consultation appointment in the following one month.
Students who arrive late for more than 15 minutes will not be eligible for making consultation appointment in the following one month.
We have high expectation on our students’ honesty and integrity. Students should not attempt to fake your identity to book the consultation sessions for fellow students, or to get around the policy by filling in incorrect information, etc. With any violation of this policy, students are subject to the University Student Code of Conduct.
