In 2015, President Obama launched the “Precision Medicine Initiative” in the USA, while the Chinese government also announced the investment of RMB60 billions into the “National Precision Medicine Strategy”. What is “Precision Medicine” and how will its development affect human health and the medical and healthcare industry? In this seminar, Prof. Yang, with his 25 years of experience in the development and commercialization of biomedical research, will review the four waves in biotechnology and how they revolutionized medicine over the past half century, and discuss the disruptive innovations and investment opportunities in the healthcare industry being introduced by the development of precision medicine.
