Prof. Jiang Yi-Huah is a professor of the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, City University of Hong Kong. Jiang received his B.A. and M.A. in political science from National Taiwan University, and his Ph.D. in political science from Yale University. He previously held research position at the Institute of Social Sciences and Philosophy at the Academia Sinica, and taught political philosophy at the Department of Political Science at National Taiwan University. From 2008 to 2014, he served as the Minister of Research, Development and Evaluation Commission, the Minister of the Interior, the Vice Premier, and the Premier of the Republic of China (Taiwan).

Jiang’s academic interest lies in political philosophy, liberalism, democratic theory, national identity and Taiwanese politics. He is the author of Liberalism, Nationalism and National Identity (Yang-Chih Book, 1998), Essays on Liberalism and Democracy (Linking, 2000) and Nationalism and Democracy (National Taiwan University Press, 2003), as well as various journal articles, book chapters and essays. He earned Distinguished Teaching Award from National Taiwan University (2001) and Distinguished Research Award from the National Science Council (2002).

During his public service years, Jiang launched the master plan to streamline the central government; enhanced the welfare benefits for the poor and the physically or mentally challenged people; facilitated the development of e-commerce and social enterprise; successfully increased the national income per capita and reduced the unemployment rate; revised the capital gains tax to create a fairer society; implemented the K-12 education reform as well as the technological and vocational education reform; and passed a series of strict regulations regarding environmental protection and food safety.

Before joining the CityU, Jiang was a visiting scholar at the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies at Harvard University (Spring 2015), and a visiting scholar at the Hoover Institution and a Research Fellow at the Center for Advanced Study in the Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University (2015-2016).

江宜樺教授為香港城市大學人文社會科學院教授。他出生於台灣基隆市，為國立台灣大學政治學學士、碩士，美國耶魯大學政治學博士。他曾任中央研究院中山人文社會科學研究所助研究員、台灣大學政治系副教授、教授，以及台灣大學副教務長兼教學發展中心主任。2008-2014年間，他出任中華民國行政院研究發展考核委員會主任委員、內政部部長、行政院副院長、行政院院長。卸任之後，他曾擔任美國哈佛大學費正清中國研究中心訪問學者、史丹佛大學胡佛研究所訪問學者、以及史丹佛大學行為科學高等研究中心研究員。

江教授的研究專長為政治哲學、自由主義、民主政治、國家認同、以及台灣政治發展。他著有《自由主義、民族主義與國家認同》（揚智，1998）、《自由民主的理路》（聯經，2000）、《民族主義與民主政治》（台灣大學出版社，2003）等書。他曾獲頒國立台灣大學教學傑出獎（2001年），以及中華民國國科會傑出研究獎（2002年）。

江教授從事公職期間，主要政績包括：展開行政院組織改造、大幅修正《社會救助法》、推動電子商務及社會企業、提高國民所得、降低失業率、提高資本利得稅、落實十二年國教、推動技職教育再造、成立國土保育小組、整頓食品安全體系等等。2015年，他獲頒中華民國總統府一等卿雲勳章。
