DBA 2015 New Cohort Welcoming Dinner and 2014/2015 DBA Awards Presentation Ceremony

DBA 2015 New Cohort Welcoming Dinner and 2014/2015 DBA Awards Presentation took place on19 September 2015. Over 60 Learning Partners (LPs) attended the event.

Prof Way Kuo, President of CityU shared in his welcoming speech about the good news that CityU soared to 57th in the recent QS World University Rankings while Prof Yan Houmin, Dean of College of Business, also made encouraging remarks on the strength and achievement of the College.

The highlights of the evening were (1) the welcoming of 2015 Cohort, an internationally diversified group of 17 LPs, by Prof Muammer Ozer, DBA Director who also thanked previous cohorts and graduates for joining the event; and (2) DBA awards presentation by Prof Kuo after Dr Wu Xueping, DBA Associate Director made a brief introduction of the awards. Our warmest congratulations to this year’s award recipients, Mr CK Chan (cohort 2011), Mr Benny Luk (cohort 2014), Mr Floyd Newsum (cohort 2011) and Dr Mayank Kaul (2015 Graduate).

Mr. Wilson NG, 2015 Cohort from the Philippines, was invited to give a professional flute performance during the buffet dinner, making the atmosphere more enjoyable.

It was an engaging event to raise the awareness of our ever-increasing DBA family through cross-cohort networking. We hope to see more DBA participants and graduates in our coming events when DBA programme reaches its 10th anniversary next year.
