DBAC 2016 Mid-Year Gathering : A Close Encounter with 'The Future Reality' - Visit of 3D Metal Printing & Robot Research Lab in Hong Kong Productivity Council

In the latest visit of the Hong Kong Productivity Council on May 17, 2016, members of the DBA Community had a close encounter with "The Future Reality". 

The activity was part of DBAC Mid-Year Gathering. The tour on the future technology was duly open by Dr. Lawrence Cheung, Director of the Technology Department of HKPC. In the following pre-arranged sessions, DBA members toured the 3D Printing Centre, Robotics One and the Conformal Cooling Technology Centre which focuses on one of the few 3D metal printings in Hong Kong.

DBAC invited two guests in the field. In his 30 minutes presentation, Ricky Ma, creator of Mark 1, the first 100% Hong Kong made robot making the headlines in world renowned news & media such as Reuters and MSN, shared his passion & vision on the future of 3D robot making. Mark 1 does not only realize Ricky's childhood dream in creating his favorite characters, it also opens up business opportunity.

Following the tour in HKPC, Dr. Kevin Ng joined the group in Amaroni's Little Italy, sharing the latest trend of 3D printing in dental application.
