General Information

This programme has two streams: i) Finance and and ii) Quantitative Finance and Risk Management. Both streams prepares students for key financial management positions in the industrial, commercial, financial and governmental sectors. Graduates possess the economics knolwedge, quantitative tools, problem-solving skills and analytical ability to handle financial and investment decision-making for financial institutions and non-financial corporations.

Students who are mathematically-oriented and interested in computer programming may choose to pursue the Quantitative FInance and Risk Management (QFRM) stream. The QFRM stream involves a high degree of mathmatical rigor and prepares students or specailized positions in financial risk modeling, derivatives analysis and hte development of new financial products.

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA)

This programme has been accepted into the CFA Institute University Recognition Program. This status is granted to institutions whose degree program(s) incorporate at least 70% of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK), which provide students with a solid grounding in the CBOK and positions them well to sit for the CFA exams.

We expect the demand for financial executives for both financial and non-financial corporations will continue to grow in the years to come.
