Henry Tang speaks at CEO Forum


Mr Henry Tang, GBM, GBS, JP, Standing Committee Member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of the Board of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (WKCDA), gave a talk on 15 October at the CEO forum hosted by the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme.

Speaking on “Arts and Culture in Hong Kong”, Mr Tang shared his plan and vision to develop WKCDA into a vibrant cultural quarter for Hong Kong. He said, “Arts and cultural development is kind of evolution of the city. The West Kowloon Cultural District belongs to all Hong Kong people and our aim is to make it an accessible, vibrant and multicultural hub for arts development.”

“We wish to make Chinese culture accessible to the world and at the same time make the Cultural District a doorway for worldwide culture to China,” Mr Tang continued.

The talks attracted around 100 business partners, faculty members, alumni and students of the EMBA community. In the QA session, Mr Tang exchanged with the audience on arts and cultural development in the City, as well as some current affairs topics.

Professor Lu Jian, Vice President of CityU, presented Mr Tang a souvenir on behalf of the College.
