Associate Dean's Welcome Message

Participate! Participate! Participate!

Dear BBA students,

At all levels within CityUHK, whether at the University level, the College level or the Departmental level, we strive to help our students to develop into well-rounded individuals. To this end, the cultural exposure and experiences from studying in another country for one semester or one year, adds an invaluable dimension to your education and growth. In the College of Business we strongly believe in the Internationalisation of education, and as such we advocate that you actively participate in the Student Exchange Programme and in all of the various initiatives and events the College of Business organizes on campus, which simultaneously serve to expose you to the world and yet also brings the world conveniently to our campus.

We hope that this holistic experience will provide you with personal, interpersonal, cultural and world learning and perspectives. This international education and your subsequent acquisition of new knowledge and competencies can be one of your competitive advantages in better preparing you for your entry into the labour market. So be active and proactive, and fully utilize these opportunities presented to you.

Having once been an exchange student myself, I can honestly claim that personally it remains one of the most memorable and treasured times in my life. Therefore I encourage you most strongly to rise to the challenge and get involved! The benefits are immeasurable.

Mary Pang, PhD
Associate Dean, College of Business
