Highly Recognized Academic and Research Achievements

The College of Business at the City University of Hong Kong is one of the top Business Schools in the Asia Pacific region.

It is also accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, the premier accrediting agency for business schools worldwide. This achievement places CityU's College of Business on a par with leading business schools in different parts of the world that include, among others, Harvard Business School, London Business School, The University of Sydney College of Business and Economics, and Keio University Business School. AACSB accreditation is an assurance of quality, and it represents the highest standards in management education.

Committed to team work and continuous improvement. The College of Business has over 170 core faculty from over 21 nationalities providing a dynamic foundation for innovative and quality education.

Our excellence in research and teaching stems partly from our close relationship with the business community. More than 50 business leaders and academics have joined forces with our faculty to share their insights and experience from both a local and a global angle, which, doubtlessly, has greatly enhanced the relevance of our programmes.

Best Available Technology and facilities

We are committed to excellence and innovation in teaching. We also take pride in integrating teaching with professional practices to best prepare our students for their careers.

Learn Globally

Our College has been quick to capitalise on the opportunities for teaching innovation that have emerged as a result of advances in information technology.

We have used video-conferencing and Internet applications to create various non-traditional learning environments. We reach into the real world and cross national boundaries. For example, our management students learn about Entrepreneurship together with their peers from Indiana University (in the United States). Meanwhile, our information systems students design information systems with Erasmus University's students (in the Netherlands).

Financial Assets and Securities Trading and Experimental Economics Laboratory

Our finance students get exposure to the real world stock markets by conducting simulated trades through the Financial Assets and Securities Trading (Programme). We were also the first business school in Hong Kong to implement an Experimental Economics Laboratory.

e-Logistics Laboratory, SAP-CityU Strategic Alliance

In cooperation with SAP AG, one of the leading independent software vendors in the world, our College has established a computer laboratory for teaching and researching e-Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and Enterprise Resources Planning. This partnership not only allows our researchers to work closely with cutting-edge technology and research problems that businesses are facing, but also allows our students to learn the most up-to-date business applications.

Knowledge Discovery Centre

The Knowledge Discovery Centre, which opened in January 2001, marked the beginning of a long term partnership between City University of Hong Kong and SAS Institute that aims to familiarise our students with the latest Internet concepts, applications and analytical techniques and to allow our faculty members to learn from our industry partnership and engage in cutting-edge research.
