Information Technology Services Unit (ITSU) was established in 1997 to provide the competing information technology solutions for College of Business's teaching and learning, research and administrative operations based on the University's information technology infrastructure.

Our goal is to create an IS/IT enabled environment that helps the College of Business to become a leading business school. This is in line with our Dean's vision of making this business school with the most high-tech and high-touch teaching and learning environment.

ITSU currently serves all the requests raised by faculty members. The service quality has been widely regarded within the College and beyond. Many of the innovative and ground-breaking web applications were first of its kind, and so well acclaimed that some of the departments outside CB mirrored our solutions or requested us for providing services to them. With this momentum of innovation, the unit would keep improving its service level and form a long term partnership and relations with them. This has led to attaining a lot of mutual benefits between departments and strengthened our ties with the University.

Apart from internal recognitions, the unit also successfully completed a range of projects which have found industrial recognition. In 2000, the iMBA programme was ranked Asia's Best Distance MBA programs because of the innovative teaching environment used in the programme. The whole set of tools used in the programme were developed by the team and thus, we were awarded a Certificate of Merit in the IT Excellence Awards 2000. The PDA Project had also won a Certificate of Merit in 2006.

All of the above accomplishments have been attributed to the unfailing support provided to us by the management and the dedication of the respective technical staff involved in the various projects.
