Train-the-Trainer workshop fosters innovation and entrepreneurship

Thirty teachers and researchers from the mainland and Taiwan took part in a Symposium and Train-the-Trainer Workshop for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education organised by CityU from 2ndto 6thDecember. Participating universities included Peking University, Tsinghua University, National Taipei University, and Sun Yat-sen University.

Two senior Professors from the College of Business shared their teaching and research with deans, programme directors, and researchers from the participating universities. While Prof. Wenyu Dou, Associate Dean of the College, talked about teaching green innovation in business schools, Prof. Muammer Ozer, Programme Director of Doctor of Business Administration programme, shared his research on innovation management with the delegates.

The event aimed to encourage higher education institutions to add elements of innovation and entrepreneurship to their curricula. Participants were introduced to teaching methods that stress innovation and entrepreneurship, and were also provided with teaching materials created by CityU experts and scholars.

 

 

Among the other invited speakers were Prof. Arthur Ellis, Provost, Prof. Christian Wagner, Associate Provost (Quality Assurance), and Dr. Hongyi Sun, Associate Professor of the Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management.
