About the Teaching Excellence Awards (TEA)

The awards were launched by CityU’s Quality Assurance Committee (QAC) in 1993 and is the first of its kind among Hong Kong’s tertiary institutions, held annually to recognise and reward distinguished teaching staff at CityU. TEA nominations are made by students, alumni, academic staff, and past TEA recipients. A selection panel composed of staff from different grades and areas will be established every year. All award winners will have their names added to a permanently displayed register, in recognition of their excellent teaching.
