Navigating the future of supply chain in Hong Kong


The College’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme has organized its third session of the MBA SHARP Forum on 16th January. More than 100 participants attended the event.

Focusing on the topic of logistic trends and developments in Hong Kong, the forum invited two guest speakers: Mr Shing-yuk Chow, Founder and CEO of Lalamove, a logistics company specialized in on-demand deliveries in Asia using the sharing economy to match users and drivers; and Mr Benjamin Wong, Head of Transport and Industrial sector team at Invest Hong Kong (InvestHK).

Mr Chow spoke about his experience pioneering a logistic technology startup in Hong Kong, and his observations on the growing trend of mobile application, internet and digitalized customer service in the logistic sector. Elaborating on Hong Kong's advantages in supply chain and logistics, another guest speaker, Mr Wong, gave several examples showing how companies have made use of high technology, O2O service, online management system, etc., and explained the significance of Hong Kong serving as a platform to reach out more business opportunities in Asia.
