DBA holds residential workshop in Taipei

The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Programme has organised a Residential Workshop II, themed “Moving Forward”, from 19th to 21st May in Taipei.

Led by Prof Muammer Ozer, Director of the DBA Programme, and Dr Sidney Leung, Associate Director; a group of 17 learning partners from the 2012 and 2015 cohorts were guided in preparing their thesis proposals during the workshop. They were briefed on the important aspects in writing the thesis, and were divided into groups to conduct oral presentations. The learning partners received feedback from faculty members and fellow students.

Apart from Prof Ozer and Dr Leung, other faculty members who facilitated in the group presentations and provided advice were:

  • Dr Gang Hao, Assistant Dean (Advancement), and Associate Professor of the Department of Management Sciences
  • Prof Junbo Wang, Professor of the Department of Economics and Finance
  • Dr Yanni Yan, Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing
  • Dr Becky Kwan, Associate Professor of the Department of English
  • Dr Alvin Leung, Assistant Professor of the Department of Information Systems
  • Dr Jianfeng Wang, Assistant Professor of the Department of Marketing

The residential workshop also invited DBA alumni, Dr Michael Chao Chenghui (2011), Dr Fu-ling Cheng (2015) and learning partner from the 2014 cohort, Mr Benny Luk King-sang, to share their experience and tips in preparing thesis proposals and their journey in committing to the programme.
