New learning journey begins


Orientation for Autumn 2017 cohort of the Executive Master of Business Administration (Chinese) (EMBA (Chinese)) programme was held from 12th to 15th October. 40 new learning partners attended the four-day orientation.

Prof Wenyu Dou, Director of the EMBA (Chinese) Programme and Associate Dean (Postgraduate Programmes), and Prof Stephen Liao Shaoyi, Associate Director, welcomed the learning partners in the opening session. The orientation programme offered a valuable opportunity for students to get acquainted to the campus and other learning partners, leading into the formal classes. The activities included a campus tour, workshops, team building activities, an alumni sharing session, and a performing class for leadership. The group also visited the Legislative Council and Hong Kong Maxim’s Group.

The programme hosted an inauguration ceremony cum welcoming dinner at CityU on 13th October - the second day of the orientation programme. Prof Gary Feng, Associate Provost (APUE) of CityU, and Prof Houmin Yan, Dean of the College of Business, gave their welcoming remarks in the event. Jiasen Pan (2014 alumnus), Chuan Nie (2017 Spring cohort) and Ningning Yang (2017 Fall cohort), gave their tremendous support to the event and shared their learning experiences with the new class.

About the EMBA (Chinese) programme

The EMBA (Chinese) builds upon the College's 20-year experience of delivering the EMBA in English. It adopts innovative teaching methodologies and integrates new elements into its curriculum with key focuses on Global outlook, Fresh ways of looking at issues and problems, and approaches infused with Inspiration.
