EMBA learning partners embark on learning journey at CityU


Orientation for Autumn 2018 cohort of the Executive Master of Business Administration (Chinese) (EMBA (Chinese)) programme was held from 11th to 14th October. 44 learning partners kicked start their new learning journey at CityU with the four-day orientation.

Prof Wenyu Dou, Director of the EMBA (Chinese) Programme and Associate Dean (Postgraduate Programmes) welcomed the new cohort, he said “The EMBA programme is supported by a well-rounded curriculum, plentiful resources from the College, as well as the extensive alumni and community network from a diversified background. In the two-year learning journey, our new learning partners would be able to re-orient their mind-set through exploring and innovating new business knowledge and practices in the context of modern knowledge economy and China market.”

The orientation programme comprised an array of activities including workshops, seminars and an MBTI test which allowed students to discover and understand their own personalities and potential leadership role. The group also visited the Legislative Council and the Hong Kong office of Zhongtai International. Highlights of the orientation programme were a team building training at Tai Mo Shan, the highest peak in Hong Kong, and a welcome dinner with the presence of Professor Alex Jen, Provost, Professor Houmin Yan, Dean of the College, faculty members, as well as alumni from various cohorts.
