MGT celebrates new office move


A celebration gathering was held by the Department of Management (MGT) on 11th floor of Academic 3 to celebrate the relocation of the departmental office on 25 June.

Prof Brian Boyd, Head of MGT, and Dr Christina Sue-Chan, Associate Head of MGT, welcomed all guests, faculty, and staff members in opening remarks followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Prof Boyd expressed his gratitude to all the attendees and said he was looking forward to a fresh beginning for the department in the new office. Prof Arthur Ellis, Provost of CityU, congratulated the move, and wished MGT and all colleagues a good start.

During the gathering, Prof Boyd also took the opportunity to thank the outgoing faculty, Dr Ruodan Shao, Assistant Professor of MGT, for her service and excellent work in the role. A token of appreciation was presented to Dr Shao.

The gathering was served with a roasted pig, symbolizing great fortune in the future, along with beverages and other refreshments. Prof Julie Li, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programmes) of CB, Prof Kelvin Yau, Associate Dean (Research & Faculty) of CB, Prof Jeong-Bon Kim, Head of Department of AccountancyProf Frank Chen, Head of Department of Management SciencesProf Ziguang Chen, Director of The Centre for Advanced Business Research and Executive Education (Shenzhen), and other CityU staff members also attended the gathering.
