EMBA students excel themselves at Beijing Marathon


Four Executive Master of Business Administration students ─ Limin Bai, Guangcheng Tian, Yi Wang, and Jigang Yang, successfully completed the Beijing Hyundai - Beijing Marathon 2015 on 20th September. They finished the entire course of 42.195km in about five hours.

“I am very pleased that our students achieved good performance at the Beijing Marathon. I can also see the friendship and trust built among them,” said Prof Wenyu Dou, Director of the EMBA (Chinese) Programme and Associate Dean (Graduate Programmes) of the College.

EMBA students Kun Zhang, Wen Wang, and Zizhou Zhao showed strong support to their classmates by acting as cheerleaders. They waved the CityU flag high when their fellows passed the finishing line. It was a moment to celebrate the joy and success together!

Onto its 35th anniversary, the Beijing Marathon is regarded as one of the most important marathons in China. This year, over 30,000 runners from 45 countries and regions registered. The race started at Tian’anmen Square and covered courses through Dongcheng District, Xicheng District, Haidian District, and Chaoyang District.
