Linkages

To serve the community well, the Department maintains close relationship with the local business community as well as with the international academic community through formal and informal means.

The Department Advisory Committee, with members from the business community, provides invaluable advice to the Department regarding the needs of the practitioners and organizations. This advice helps us to design our teaching programs and research activities in ways that provide good value for money to the community as well as to our students.

The Departmental Advisory Committee includes the following outside advisors:

The Department's links with the international academic community are evident in the large number of well respected scholars that have visited us over the years. Among them are Professor Geert Hofstede, an authority in cross-cultural management, Professor John Dunning, an authority in international business, Professor Rajan Varadarajan, a former editor of the Journal of Marketing, and Professor Tom Hustad, current editor of the Journal of Product Innovation Management.
