BBA(HRM)

The BBA in Human Resources Management (HRM) is designed for students who may wish to attain functional specialization in this field to serve organizations as specialists from within or consultants from outside. HRM has emerged as a key managerial function for creating and sustaining a competitive edge in today's business world.

Increasing numbers of organizations place heavy emphasis on managers' process skills in working closely with people of varied backgrounds, and in motivating employees, maintaining morale, building trust, fostering teamwork, leading innovation, and facilitating organizational change. At the same time, managers are expected to engage in a wide variety of HRM activities irrespective of their own functional specialization. These activities include hiring the right people, and then maximizing their performance through appropriate training, feedback, and rewards.

The programme therefore aims at providing students with appropriate skills, techniques and systems for managing people in Hong Kong SAR, China's mainland and the wider international context, based on a firm theoretical foundation in HRM and an appreciation of other business disciplines.
