Students Comment
BBA HRM Students Comments The HRM program provided by the Department of Management of City University is highly recommended. The courses were really well-designed and practical. The instructors here were friendly, helpful and approachable. Through joining the program, we could develop ourselves with all modern HRM and management concepts. 2003 HRM Graduate I took Human Resources Management as my major at City University. Not only did the courses include the most up-to-date issues about HRM or related disciplines, the knowledge and skills learnt from the courses could allow me to apply them in my current job. In addition, all the teachers were experienced and professional. They maintained a balance of their teaching in both theory and practice. There were a lot of open discussions during classes. Thus, all the students enjoyed the courses very much. They instilled us to explore our interests in the HRM field. 2003 HRM Graduate "I decided to study human resources management because it's a developing field in Hong Kong. CityU's programme is comprehensive - it trained me to be creative and I enjoyed the team spirit in the classroom." Lau Ka-ki, graduate MPhil/PhD Research Students Comments It's a pleasure for me to write something about my stay in CityU. First of all, the teachers and the administrative staff are very friendly, like Eddie Yu, Julyanna and Betty yourself. Eddie Yu even offered to give monetary assistance when I suffered from a loss due to my money and visa card was stolen. I was moved by the hospitality and kind help by you all. Next, the subjects in the management dept. are comprehensive so that I could have an all-rounded knowldge about management. Last but not the least, I had an enjoyable time with my schoolmates, for we went to the sports complex everyday to keep fit. Life was fruitful in CityU. It was my great time in my life. I'll treasure it all my life, and in fact, the insight I gained during my stay in CityU has its part in the operation of an English training centre I'm running now in Guangzhou. I sincerely hope that the management dept. in CityU will have a brighter future. By the way, I'm probably leaving for H.K. around the middle
of Aug., and I'll definitely go to say hello to you all when I'd be available.
One of my purposes in H.K. is to investigate the international schools in H.K.
