China Synergy Programme for Outstanding Youth

The captioned programme aims to provide an opportunity for outstanding Chinese youths who are residing overseas and in Hong Kong to know more about the socio-economic, technological, and cultural developments of China. It will be a 17-day programme of exploration and exchange activities to be held in Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Xian, and Beijing in July. The organizers will cover the costs of airfares between Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Xian, and Beijing, meals and accommodation. Selected participants are required to pay only for their airport taxes, travel, and medical insurance. Candidates should be ethnic Chinese, full-time undergraduate students in the current academic year and fluent in English.

Established in 1934, The Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong (CMA) is a non-profit making chamber of commerce and industry. With over 3,700 member-companies from various sectors of industry and trade, it is one of the oldest and most representative industrial associations in Hong Kong, known for its public interest and community service.   5. The recipient should have demostrated academic excellence and received a 1st class or upper 2nd class award or equivalent on graduation

  6. The recipient should also have demostrated outstanding personal qualities

  7. His/her involvement in extra-curricular activities & involvement with community (eg. charity & volunter work) shall be considered with equal importance

  8. The FB, FHS, FSE, SLW, SCM and COL shall be invited on alternate years to nominate ONE student for the award

Providence Foundation Scholarships

  1. Full-time student
  2. Second or Final Year
  3. Achieved outstanding academic performance in the previous academic year, i.e. within the top 3 of a class
  4. There shall be a number of scholarships and the amount of each scholarship shall be unfixed
  5. The amount of an award ranges between HK$10,000 and $16,000, depending on the degree of academic excellence
  6. Nominess shall not concurrently hold any other scholarships / prizes in the same academic year
  7. Each nomination should include :
    1. a 500-word English essay by each nominee on his/her future plans and ambitions and
    2. a recommendation letter by his/her academic department
  8. All nominations are subject to the final scrutiny and approval by the Providence Foundation Ltd
  9. Scholarship amount to be granted to each nominatio shall also be decided by the donor

The Sir Edward Youde Memorial Fund was established in 1987 to commemorate the former late Governor Sir Edward Youde.

The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce Scholarships

The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary and non-profit-making organization of local Chinese firms and businessmen. Founded in 1900, it is one of the oldest and largest chambers of commerce in Hong Kong. At present, the Chamber has a membership of over 6,000.
