Our teaching staff came from world-renowned universities with many years of overseas and local experience in teaching and consulting.

The MScOSCM programme at CityU benefits from the use of relevant software packages to reinforce your understanding of the concepts, methods, and processes introduced. Department of Management Sciences partners SAS Institute (Hong Kong) in establishing the Knowledge Discovery Centre and SAP in establishing e-Logistics lab. Through the joint partnership, you have access to the latest software used by many business organizations in the world.

The MScOSCM programme at CityU fosters a close link between the theory and practice. We hold a regular Business Leader Forum where industry leaders are invited to share their success experience and their thoughts on the industry trend and also to offer career development advice. In addition to extensive use of case teaching method, we have courses that (MS5315) get our students to in-depth company visits and that (MS6325) have students work on and solve real problems from our industry partners. We also promote Internship extensively for our students by partnering closely with industry.

The MScOSCM program has been fully accredited by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS), which means that after successfully finishing the MScOSCM program at CityU and meeting the specified conditions, you will be eligible to be certified as a full member of CIPS, which is one of the most prestigious qualifications a professional purchaser or a supply manager can achieve.

Our program has also entered into partnership with similar programs overseas (Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) and ISM International School of Management GmbH) that allow our students to go for exchange. Students can study in our partner institutions for one semester and credits earned there will be counted for our program recognition.

College of Business at CityU provides students with privilege and valuable opportunity to gain international exposure and learning experience on the UC Berkeley campus in the United States at about half of the original fee:

  • 5-day advanced management workshop by professors of Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley as well as company visits
  • Completion certificate awarded by Hass School of Business, UC Berkeley Credits earned may be recognized for transfer to the MScOSCM program
  • Credits earned may be recognized for transfer to the MScOSCM program
