Dr. James Jixian Wang, Visiting Associate Professor of Research Centre on One-Belt-One-Road at City University of Hong Kong, delivered a speech of The upgraded Chinese Economic Reform: From Bonded Zone to Freeport, at the Phoenix TV China Forum on 3rd March 2018.
In the forum, Dr. Wang first introduced the development of 14 coastal cities in Mainland China for the last 3 decades. He then explained and showed the pilot scheme of Bonded Zone in Tianjin and the Free Trade Zone in Shanghai. He also give examples to demonstrate and analyze people's expectation for Freeport, in which they can enjoy financial freedom and have possibilities for multiple development. It is believed that the greater the degree of freedom, the better for economic development of China.
