Stepping into the Greater Bay Area<br />走進大灣區

The objective of having the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Bay Area (hereinafter referred to as the Bay Area) is to achieve a synergistic effect through division of labor in the “9 cities and 2 districts” urban agglomeration, in order to accelerate the next innovation-based economic development in the region.

The TVB series Stepping into the Greater Bay Area [details] (broadcasted in February - April 2018, every Sunday at 7:00 p.m.) introduced and stated the expectations of mainlanders and Hong Kong people on the Bay Area. First by interviewing representatives from a British and local company in the region to show their investment and operations, then elaborate on how Hong Kong and local enterprises have benefitted from this national strategic development. Finally made analysis on what advantages Hong Kong currently has over the Mainland.

Dr. James Jixian Wang, Visiting Associate Professor of Research Centre on One-Belt-One-Road at City University of Hong Kong, was invited to act as a guest speaker for the series. He has shared his views on the major role that Hong Kong will play and how Hong Kong and Shenzhen can complement each other for the future development of the Bay Area.
