Quanta
Established in 1988, Quanta Computer today is the largest
notebook computer ODM company in the world. With leading
technology and strong R&D, Quanta has become a leader in
hi-tech markets. In 2006, Quanta achieved another milestone of being recognized
by the Fortune magazine as one of the Global Fortune 500
Enterprises.
We have visited the office of the Quanta and were astonished by the availability of Starbucks and 7-11 within the company. Quanta offers a lot of incentives in order to retain the talents which are crucial for the hi-tech industry.

KPMG
As a subsidiary of KPMG International, Switzerland, which is
one of the biggest accounting firms in the world, KPMG Taiwan
provides accounting, tax consulting, auditing and financial
management services. Located on the 68th floor of Taipei 101 tower, KPMG tour is the most exciting experience for us.
Tower 101 was a very beautiful place. Its prestige location gave us a sense of superiority. KPMG's working environment was quiet, clean and bright. This visiting enabled us to know more about accountants' working environment. We also had the chance to taste the famous coffee of KPMG.

China Motor
In China motor, we had a conversation with Chu Lilun and the
CEO. Zhu Lilun is not only the professor of accountancy
department of NTU, but also a brilliant political leader
----leader of Taoyuan County.
Here we have also visited the manufacturing facilities of Mitsubishi motor and witnessed the assembly process of cars. We were not allowed to take any photos, but it was extremely amazing to see how a car was assembled, from tiny pieces to the polished final product.

Formosa Plastics
Corporation
With over 40 years of development, the Formosa
Plastics Group is now the biggest private diversified industrial enterprise
in Taiwan. The Group includes Formosa Chemicals Fibre
Corporation, Formosa Petrochemical Corporation, and
more than 20 other subsidiaries in Taiwan, the United
States, China, as well as Indonesia and several
large educational and medical organizations.
Its current asset is about 572 billion.
Formosa is extremely huge. Its manufacturing site is so huge that you must have a car in order to travel through plants. Everything here is automatic. You rarely see any people walking around. Occasionally you would catch a glimpse of engineers travelling around, as they have to inspect different plants. Engineers live within the company. It is just like a hi-tech city that produces automatically.
