Jonathan Zhu (Ph.D., Indiana University, 1990) is a professor in Department of Media and Communication, City University of Hong Kong, where he teaches communication theory, social network analysis, and computational social science, and manages an iunterdisciplinary Web Mining Lab (http://weblab.com.cityu.edu.hk). He had previously taught as an Associate Professor at University of Connecticut (USA) and a Changjiang Chair Professor at Renmin University of China. He currently participates in the Big Data Taskforce of China Computer Federation. His recent studies on network sampling, network controllability, information cascading, and other issues of social networks have been published in multidisciplinary journals in communication, computer science, physics, and medical informatics. His Erdős Number is 3.

祝建華先後獲得中國復旦大學學士、碩士和美國印第安納大學博士。曾任美國康乃狄克大學副教授和中國人民大學長江講座教授，現為香港城市大學媒體與傳播系教授，講授傳播學理論、社會網分析、計算社會科學等課程，並主持一個跨學科研究的互聯網挖掘實驗室（http://weblab.com.cityu.edu.hk）。他目前兼任中國計算機學會大數據專委會委員，並在傳播學、計算機科學、物理學、醫療信息學等學科刊物上發表其有關網絡抽樣、網絡可控性、網絡信息級聯等研究結果。他的Erdős系數為3。
