Dr. Charlie Zhang currently serves as Vice President of Industry Development of NextEV Co., Ltd. His another role is Chief Operating Officer of XPT Limited. And he is also the partner of NIO Capital.

Dr. Zhang has a very in-depth understanding about the architecture and operations of large enterprises in cross-industry domain including automotive, mechanical, and manufacturing. He has rich experiences in marketing and sales management in international market, and is quite familiar with enterprise operation management, comprehensive operations, and departmental business processes, including production management, administration and human resources management, financial management, as well as marketing and sales management.

Before joining NextEV, Dr. Zhang served as an executive manager in automotive software and component companies, including Shanghai Aohui Network Technology Co., Ltd, Shanghai Autocraft Co., Ltd, and Shandong Tianrun Crankshaft Co., Ltd.

He used to be the corporate board member and vice general manager of Tianrun Crankshaft Co., Ltd., and helped the company with its successful launch in the SME board of Shenzhen Stock Exchange. During his tenure, the company improved its sales revenue by 500%, increased its market value to over RMB10 billion, and became the China number one and global number three as an advanced manufacturing enterprise in the engine component market segment domain.

He also worked in AT&T from 2002 to 2006, and then served as the vice director of strategy execution department of AT&T from 2005 to 2006. After he became the Sales Director of North American Region, the sales volume in the North American Region grew from $12 billion per year to $17 billion per year, and he built the most competitive sales team in the history of the company.

Dr. Zhang enjoys a master of business administration degree from the University of Toronto, and obtained on-the-job DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) degree from the University of Washington.

張洋博士現任蔚來汽車產業發展副總裁，他同時擔任蔚來驅動科技運營負責人的職務，此外張洋博士還是蔚來資本的合夥人。

張洋博士熟悉汽車機械製造業等跨行業的大公司構架及其運作，具有豐富的國際市場營銷管理經驗，熟悉生產管理，行政人力資源管理，財務管理，市場營銷管理等企業的經營管理和全面運作及部門的工作流程。

加入蔚來前，張洋博士先後在上海奧慧網絡科技有限公司，上海奧達科股份有限公司和山東天潤曲軸股份有限公司等汽車軟件，零部件企業從事高級管理工作。

2007年至2013年間，他在天潤曲軸股份有限公司任集團董事，副總經理，協助公司成功登陸深交所中小版，銷售收入提升超過500％，市值超過人民幣100億元，在發動機零部件細分市場領域成為中國第一，世界第三的先進製造企業。

2002年至2006年，他在美國電報電話公司工作，2005年至2006年擔任戰略執行部副部長，北美區銷售總監期間，公司北美區域銷售額從每年120億美金增至170億美金，並打造了迄今為止公司最有競爭力的銷售團隊。

張洋博士擁有多倫多大學工商管理碩士學位，並在華盛頓大學獲得在職工商管理學博士（DBA）學位。
