EMBA students explore business opportunities and eco-tourism in Laos

The Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) organised a study trip in Luang Prabang and Vientiane, Laos in July 2018. Led by Dr Michael Wong of the Department of Economics and Finance, a group of 10 participants explored the local business development and learned about the eco-tourism policies of the country.

During the trip, the group met with government officers and business leaders who shared insights on business practices and eco-tourism development in Laos. They also had fruitful exchanges with the local people through visiting the local companies and non-governmental organisations, as well as the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and the Confucius Institute at the National University of Laos. In addition to the learning activities, participants also experienced the unique culture of Laos in an array of activities including visiting monasteries and joining the sunset gathering of the local people.
