Mr James Tsien speaks at CEO Forum 


The College of Business Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme invited Mr James Tsien, Senior Adviser of Hutchison Port Holdings Limited (HPH) and Independent Non-Executive Director of the Bank of Shanghai (Hong Kong) Limited, to share with students on the topic: Leading a Global Team on 25th January.

Mr Tsien discussed the factors contributing to developing a local enterprise to a global business. He explored areas including shareholders’ perspectives, readiness of the company, corporate culture, recruitment and political concerns, etc. He also highlighted the economic benefits, and possible risks emerged when starting new business and markets. The forum ended with a positive feedback session which attracted many valuable questions from the audience.

About the speaker

Mr Tsien was formerly the Group Executive Director of HPH and the Managing Director of Hutchison Ports China Limited. During his service at HPH, he served at many areas namely finance, corporate administration, information technology, legal and company secretarial functions.
