Background
City University of Hong Kong EMBA Association Limited (the "Association") was formed by the alumni of CityU EMBA programme in 2000, with the main objectives to promote the EMBA programme and cultivate friendship among members. In 2014, the Executive Committee of the Association planned to establish a charitable and educational fund with the main purpose of further enriching the EMBA programme.
The Executive Committee of the Association had worked with both the legal advisor and accountant in preparing the Trust Deeds and revising the Memorandum and Articles of Association ( "M&A" ) since early 2015. Subsequently, the Trust Deeds and revised M&A were approved by the members during the Annual General Meeting on 11th September 2015. The official name is "City University of Hong Kong EMBA Association Charity Trust" （ 香港城市大學行政人員工商管理碩士同學會慈善基金 ） [ hereinafter, the "Trust" ] .

Our Objectives
- Promoting the development of EMBA Programme
- Establishing funds for scholarships or assisting deserving members of the Association
- Providing financial support for such education establishment as approved by trustees
- Promoting the caring spirit by contributing back to the community
Honorary Advisors
To ensure proper guidance is in place for operation of the Trust, we are honored to have Prof. Houmin Yan (Dean of College of Business), Prof. Richard Ho (co-founder of EMBA programme), Dr. Gang Hao (Assistant of College of Business), and Dr. John Leung (EMBA Programme Director) to be the Advisors.

The Organization
The Trust is an independent entity of the Association, lead by Dr Haywood Cheung, the Honorary Chairman of the Trust along with 10 Trustees including the current Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer of the Association. Other six Trustees are the members of the Association invited by the Executive Committee. Furthermore, the Trustees are responsible to manage the fund raising and allocation issues for the Trust.
The Trustees for the term 2016-2018 are:

- Mr Paul Lee – Vice Chairman of the Assocaiton for the term 2016 - 18
- Marjorie Wan – Treasurer of the Association for the term 2016 - 18
- Cathy Pang – Secretary of the Association for the term 2016 - 18
- Alvine Suen – ExCo of the Association for the term 2016 - 18
- Elsa Keung – ExCo of the Association for the term 2016 - 18
- Kevin Soong – ExCo of the Association for the term 2016 - 18
- Banny Yu – ExCo of the Association for the term 2016 - 18
- Ho Lai Chuen – Trustee for the term 2016 - 18
- Peter Ko – Trustee for the term 2016 - 18
Trust Fund
Through the charity functions organized by the Association, the Trust targets to raise one million each year. Your support is definitely crucial to the sustainability of the Trust.
Charitable Trust
The Association is in the process of applying as a charitable entity under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance. Donors will be entitled for deduction of salaries tax, personal assessment or profits tax for any donation of HKD100 or above to the Trust.
