The research demonstrates that understanding the diverse needs within rural communities enhances predictive accuracy and reduces instances of misdiagnosis. This framework aims to support clinical diagnosis and health management without relying on psychiatrists or expensive medical equipment.
The award was presented at the Gala Dinner in June 2024, attended by over 900 participants. Professor Xu acknowledged the support from the College of Business and the Department of Information Systems in fostering a productive research environment. Tom expressed his gratitude for the recognition, crediting CityUHK CB for its robust business research training. He remarked, “CityUHK CB offers solid and comprehensive training in business research, equipping students with cutting-edge skills to learn and develop. I am grateful to work with my advisor, Professor David Xu, who consistently provides valuable and actionable feedback to help me progress.”
Founded in 2007, CSWIM is a prestigious academic conference co-hosted by the China Chapter of the Association for Information Systems (AIS). This year, it attracted 289 submissions from renowned institutions, with only 74 papers selected for presentation following a rigorous review process. Six papers were nominated for the Best Paper Award, with Professor Xu’s team securing the runner-up position.
