Mr. Rogers Chan
Rogers Chan is the Senior Manager of the Risk and Strategy unit of the CEO’s Office of the Securities and Futures Commissions (SFC). He is also the ex-officio member of the SFC Fintech Advisory Group and the Future Task Force of the Insurance Industry of Hong Kong Insurance Authority (IA). Rogers is the founding member of the SFC Fintech Contact Point. He is responsible for several Fintech and Regtech initiatives, including SFC Risk Data Strategy and Analytics, cybersecurity and cryptocurrency / blockchain study.
Rogers joined the SFC in 2012, before that he was the AD (Executive Management) of Societe Generale and the Chief Of Staff of its Asia private banking front office. Previously, he was the Senior Risk Model Validation Manager of BOCHK and VP at the BoAML. He also worked for HKSAR in the E-Police unit of HKPF, JFIU and HKMA.
Rogers completed the Fintech Certificate of MIT and the Risk Management executive program at the Cambridge University. He is a Java, SAS, PMP and BCI credential holder. Rogers received his BBA (Information System Management) and MScIM (Risk Management) from HKUST, MSc(Fin) from SOAS, U of London, LLM from U of Wolverhampton and MAcc from CUHK.
