The Department of Information Systems (IS) is proud to announce that four faculty members have been recognized as the World’s Top 2% Most Cited Scientists 2025 by Stanford University.
This year’s top 2% scientists from IS, in alphabetical order, are Prof. Robert M DAVISON, Prof. LAU Yiu Keung Raymond, Prof. LEE Kwok On Matthew, and Prof. MA Jian. Their exceptional academic excellence and significant contributions to their research fields have earned them this prestigious recognition. This honour underscores the impactful research conducted within our department and highlights the dedication and expertise of our faculty members. The list of the “World’s Top 2% Scientists 2025” is compiled by a research team at Stanford University. It ranks scholars based on key data from Scopus, the world’s largest abstract and citation database, covering 22 academic fields and 174 sub-fields. The rankings are based on the number of citations of the scholars’ academic publications, considering both their career-long impact and the impact of their work in a single year.
