Prof Robert Davison received the AIS Fellow Award at the International Conference of Information Systems (ICIS) held in Munich, Germany in December 2019.

Jason KK Chan, a graduate of GBSM in 2018, participated in two national competitions with other Hong Kong representatives. Among over 1000 shortlisted finalists, 20 HK teams successfully got 3 gold prizes and 7 silver prizes. He and his team got a Silver Prize in The 5th China College Students’ Internet Plus’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the Third Prize in The 16th Challenge Cup.

A group of three undergraduate students, Rainix HE JIA JUN, BBA Information Management (ISSN Stream) Raymond WONG CHI WAI, BBA Information Management (ISSN Stream) Priscilla LEUNG KWAN TING, BBA Business Analysis INTEPAY was selected as one of the 13 Cyberport University Partnership Programme (CUPP) 2019 winning teams to receive the HK $100,000 Cyberport Creative Micro Fund. A total of 18 teams, comprising 58 local university students, designed the fintech scheme and competed in the final demo pitch at Cyberport on October 10.
