Best China Study Project Award


Regulations

The Department of Marketing has agreed to establish an annual award in the University by use of the funding available in the Non-UGC Reserves (Departmental) with effect from 2005-2006. The following regulations shall apply as of 2009/2010:

  • The award shall be known as the "The Department of Marketing Best China Study Project Award" ( 市場營銷學系最佳中國研習報告獎 ).
  • Value of the award shall be HK$5,000 per annum.
  • Award winner must fulfil the following criteria:
    • Applicant can be an individual or a group of students. All of them must be undergraduates who have taken any courses offered by the Department of Marketing in the previous academic year.
    • The student/group has to submit a project relevant to China Business discipline, which has been submitted to any courses offered by the Department of Marketing in the past 12 months.
    • Shortlisted candidates have to give a presentation of their projects to the selection panel.
  • Students will be asked to apply for the award in January each year. Nominations from the Department of Marketing will reach the Student Development Services by March.
  • If in any year no student is found to be of sufficient merit, the award will be withheld.
  • It will be assumed that the award shall be offered annually until further notice in writing by the donor is received before 1 July of each year.

Remark :
With an objective to nurture our students and to promote caring culture, the Community Relations Committee of the University Council has recommended that each award recipient is expected to make an annual donation of at least HK$200 to City University of Hong Kong for student support via CityU Alumni Club when they are in employment after graduation. This term has been incorporated into all scholarship/prize/award/bursary schemes, whether they are donated by external donors or contributed by University funding, with effect from February 2008.
