Best Putonghua Awards


Regulations

The Department of Marketing has agreed to establish two annual awards in the University by use of the funding available in the Non-UGC Reserves (Departmental) with effect from 2005/06. The following regulations shall apply as of 2008/2009:

  1. The award shall be known as the "The Department of Marketing Best Putonghua Awards" (市場營銷學系最佳普通話獎).
  2. Value of each award shall be HK$2,500 per annum.
  3. Award winners must fulfil the following criteria:
    • Applicant must be full-time undergraduate major in China Business or Marketing.
    • He/she must have obtained Grade A in Level 2 (二级甲等) or higher in the PUTONGHUA SHUIPING CESHI (PSC) organised by The Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China(國家教育部) in the past twelve months.
  4. Students will be asked to apply for the award in March each year. Nominations from the Department of Marketing will reach the Student Development Services by June and the awards will be made as soon as possible.
  5. If no student is found to be of sufficient merit, the award will be withheld. If there are more than two students found to be of sufficient merit, the donor has the discretion to suggest splitting the award among all qualified students.
  6. It will be assumed that the awards shall be offered annually until further notice in writing by the donor is received before 1 July of each year.
