Welcome!

Welcome to the Industrial Mentoring Scheme's website.

'If you want to walk fast, walk alone ; if you want to go far, walk together' - African Proverb

Established in 2007, the purpose of this mentoring scheme is to provide valuable support and development for our undergraduate students. Students are linked up with a matched mentor (business executive/alumnae) who will then guide and advise them on their future career development.

A mentor and mentee usually meet up three times every year. Participants also use email to communicate in between meetings. It is up to the mentor and mentee to decide a way of communication that is mutually convenient.

As we engage today's rapidly changing world, we believe our students will be greatly benefited through interactions with business executives and MS department's alumni. This Industrial Mentoring Scheme helps our students to understand the formal and informal structures of real-life business operations and develop skills, both professional and personal, based on their individual interests.

I welcome you to the Industrial Mentoring Scheme here at the Department of Management Sciences and encourage you to explore the helpful information on our website. Should you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us.
