CB students graduate from the CityU-Columbia University Joint Bachelor’s Degree Program

Four students namely Chan Long YinChen JinyiMarthinus C Strydom, and Sun Yile from the College of Business have recently completed their studies in the CityU-Columbia University Joint Bachelor’s Degree Program.

The Columbia University School of General Studies Class Day was held on 20 May. Professor Houmin Yan, Dean of the College and Dr Raymond Wong, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programmes) flew to the US to witness the graduation of the four students.

Marthinus C Strydom, a BBA Business Economics student, shared his learning experience in the Joint Bachelor’s Degree Program. He said, “Over the past four years, I have been lucky to have academic opportunities in Hong Kong, New York, London, Paris, Singapore, Seoul and Germany. This has been a one-of-a-kind educational experience that has made me a better scholar and person. However, my experiences by no means guarantee success and the ball is now firmly in my court to make something of it."
