Prof. WANG Chong Alex (王翀教授)

Dr. Chong (Alex) Wang is a Professor in the Department of Information Systems at the College of Business at the City University of Hong Kong. His research explores the impact of information technology on the generation, sharing, and utilization of information across various business and social contexts. His studies encompass a wide range of topics, including social media, online networks, the platform economy, financial technology, artificial intelligence, data governance, and digital privacy. His scholarly work advances the research frontier in these areas, addresses practical challenges faced by practitioners, and employs multiple methodologies to gather empirical evidence. His research has been published in leading academic journals such as Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, and Management Science. Professor Wang serves as associate editor for prestigious IS journals like MIS Quarterly, Information and Management, and Information Systems Journal.
