|
Taiwan High Speed Railway is one of the largest BOT projects in the world. The project was commissioned to Taiwan High Speed Railway Corporation for 35 years in 1998 and it started operation at the end of 2006. During the construction period, THSR had overcome several financial crises. After the operation began, the ridership was far below estimated by the project proposal and the company was close to bankruptcy. Prof. Yeh will share his first-hand experiences in dealing with these crises and how the THSR was saved from bankruptcy. Lessons from THSR projects will be discussed. |
