Preparatory Math Workshop Series 2015 - Basic Mathematics & Statistics Concepts

This workshop series will help you review some of the mathematical and statistics concepts and tools that you will encounter in the programme – this is especially important for students who are lack of strong mathematical/statistics background or who have not used these tools for a long time. In particular, this workshop series is specifically designed to help students prepare for EF5070 “Econometrics” (MSF required core course), MA5182 “Mathematical Methods in Finance” (MSFE required core course), and EF5370 “Mathematics and Statistics for Financial Services” (MSFS required core course) that many students may find difficult.
For students who have strong mathematical/statistics background, we advise them to review the topics and the handouts before deciding to attend the classes.
Note: Students are not able to register in individual session. After you register, you will be assumed to attend all sessions of the workshop series. If you choose to attend some of them, please also make a registration and write down which session(s) you will attend, in the 'Remarks' box. |
