Charles Lam is an executive with a breadth of experience in Financial Services, Digital, Legal & Compliance, Risk Management and Consulting Services. He possesses a few decades of experience working as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Information Officer, Managing Directors and Board Members. He had worked in major financial institutions including ABN Amro, Credit Suisse First Boston, HSBC, National Australia Bank, Bank of Montreal, Western Union and Edmond de Rothschild. His footprints span different segments – Retail, Private Clients, Corporates, Commercial Markets, Investment Banking & Insurance, Virtual/Digital/Fintech space. Charles has 360-degree knowledge and experience coverage from front to middle and back office operations. He had been the pioneer in building from scratch for a few world-class organizations and financial institutions.
Apart from his commercial experiences, Charles has many years of teaching and coaching experiences. Prior to joining City University of Hong Kong in 2024, Charles has over 10 years of teaching experiences and has obtained the Adjunct Professorship of the Faculty of Law at the University of Hong Kong.
