Prof. Charles Lam is a seasoned C-suite executive, board director, and academic with over three decades of cross-disciplinary expertise spanning Banking & Finance, Financial Technology, Legal & Compliance, Risk Management, and Business Consulting. Throughout his distinguished commercial career, he has held pivotal leadership roles—including Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Information Officer, and Managing Director—across leading global institutions such as ABN AMRO, Credit Suisse First Boston, HSBC, National Australia Bank, Bank of Montreal, Western Union, and Edmond de Rothschild.

 

As a pioneer in operational strategy and business transformations, Prof. Lam possesses end-to-end (360-degree) experience across front, middle, and back-office operations. He has a proven track record of establishing financial institutions and fintech entities from the ground up, driving innovation across Retail, Commercial, Corporate, Investment Banking, Wealth Management, and Virtual/Digital financial ecosystems.
