Prof. WONG Lawrence (王志榮教授)

Dr. Lawrence Wong is a fellow CPA, an expert in New Economy and Data Scientist, with over 30 years of experience in global consulting firms (Accenture and KPMG) and comprehensive listed conglomerates (PCCW and Hutchison).  

Dr. Wong helps companies in different industries for digital transformation, provides consulting and training services to the boards of listed companies, focuses on independent directors, big data, digital transformation, Fintech.   In recent years, he has focused on helping good new economy companies to match with investors; advising their board of directors to strengthen the branding effectiveness, expanding to overseas markets, guiding the company's strategic development and market promotion, plus more effective use of technologies to create business values. 

Dr. Lawrence Wong currently is the Managing Partner of Big Data Elite Asia, Independent Non-executive Director (INED) of China Merchants Port (0144.HK) and the Deputy President & Chairman of the New Economy Committee of the Hong Kong independent Non-Executive Directors Association (HKiNEDA). He is also a Senior Vice Chairman in Belt and Road Global Development Alliance (BARGDA) and an executive committee member of the Dashun Foundation, focusing on the Greater Bay Area and the “Belt & Road Initiative” policy research and business development.

Dr. Wong graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 1986 with a major in statistics and computer science. He also held a doctorate degree in business administration in 2011 and two master's degrees, business administration and e-commerce in 1995 and 2003 respectively all from the City University of Hong Kong (CityU).  Besides, Dr. Wong is a Certified Drucker Educator (CDE) of Peter Drucker Academy.
