Mr. Alex Tham, is a Senior Teaching Fellow in Department of Marketing. Mr. Tham has won 16 teaching awards in his 25 years of teaching life. He has strong belief in the importance of active learning; therefore, Active Learning Programme has been launched to encourage students to acquire different knowledge. Mr. Tham also helps student to identify their life direction and personal goals while having an individual meal with them. He has already had meals with around 3000 students. He received his MBA from University of Exeter in 1992. He is also a senior consultant of CityU Professional Services Ltd. Mr Tham has conducted a lot of different marketing consultancy projects for Industry Department, HKSAR, Department of Education, HKSAR, Hong Kong Red Cross, Hong Yip Property Management Ltd., Pacific Link Communications Ltd., Harbour City Communications Ltd., Hsin Chong Construction Company Limited, Hsin Chong Real Estate Management Company, Hong Yip Service Company, Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Sino Estates Management Limited, Wellborn Estate Management Limited, Hang Yick Property Management Ltd, etc.He is also the honorary advisor for IAEA.
