Albert Chung is a recipient of the prestigious 2025/26 CityUHK Teaching Excellence Award (Team), recognized as a key member of the AI-Powered Team-Based Entrepreneurship Learning Team for the award-winning project "From Learners to Entrepreneurs: Transforming Ideas into Impacts through Teamwork and AI" — a pioneering initiative that seamlessly integrates artificial intelligence, pedagogy, and entrepreneurial mindset into modern business education.
He serves as an Instructor at the Department of Information Systems, City University of Hong Kong, and an Adjunct Lecturer at City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan). He is also a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Candidate with AI Concentration at Golden Gate University, USA, where his research advances the integration of artificial intelligence into business strategy and education. With deep expertise in AI Agents, Generative AI, Large Language Models, Python, Blockchain, DApps, Smart Contracts, and Mobile Application Development, Albert bridges cutting-edge technology with practical business applications.
Albert currently serves as a Co-Investigator on Teaching Development Grants exploring the pedagogical use of ChatGPT, and as Principal Investigator on a departmental teaching innovation grant to develop IS4542 AI Agents: Building Intelligent Business Solutions with Large Language Models — a forward-looking course designed to equip students with the skills to build next-generation AI-driven enterprises.
A passionate advocate of entrepreneurship education, Albert has mentored student teams to remarkable success, including champions of the HSUHK Entrepreneurship Challenge, recipients of the HK Tech 300 Seed Fund, and winners of the MIT HK Blockchain Hackathon and the International Blockchain Olympiad. Through his dedicated mentorship, student teams under his guidance have collectively secured over HK$1 million in startup funding and transformed classroom ideas into real-world ventures.
In addition to his latest Teaching Excellence Award, Albert is a decorated educator who has received the IS BBA Contribution Award five times (2017, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2025) and previously contributed to the FB Teaching Excellence Award (Team) in 2008 — a consistent track record reflecting nearly two decades of impactful teaching and innovation.
Beyond the university, Albert serves as a contributor to the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) and was formerly an Executive Committee Member of the Hong Kong Association of Interactive Marketing (HKAIM), reflecting his ongoing commitment to shaping the broader education and innovation ecosystem in Hong Kong.
