Research Areas

Yue (Michael) Zhao joined City University of Hong Kong as an Assistant Professor in Accounting in July 2026. He received his Ph.D. in Accounting from Singapore Management University and his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in Accounting from Renmin University of China. His research focuses on empirical financial accounting, with particular interests in Generative AI in capital market, ESG, and China Study. His research has been published in the Journal of Accounting and Economics and the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis.
